Maritime Museum of Kasos

The Maritime Museum of Kasos hosts exhibits from the collection of Anthony Chatzipetros: small items of daily use of the old sailing ships, compasses, and other nautical instruments. Moreover, the exhibition includes rare documents, calendars, books, maps, charters, wills, pension certificates, family photos, boat engines and many more.

Agios Mamas

The monastery of Agios Mamas is located 4 km. northeast from Poli. It is a church with mosaic floors and a wood carved temple. Next to the church there is a hostel and a well with water. The landscape is beautiful and offers a spectacular view to the Libyan Sea.

Agios Georgios Monastery

The monastery of St. George is located in Hadies, 10 km. southwest of Agia Marina village. In its interior you will see valuable paintings and a wood craft temple. The monastery is preserved by locals and expatriates. The surrounding buildings have been converted into guesthouses and you can stay there free of charge.

Selai Cave (Spilokamara)

This cave is impressive due to the stalactites in the interior. It is located 2 km southwest from the village of Agia Marina and you can only access it by a footpath. The cave is 30 m. deep and 8 m. wide.

If you stand in front of the cave you will enjoy a magnificent view to Saint Constantine, Antiperato, Armathia and other Kasonisia.

Agia Marina

This is the country village of Kassos. There are many mansions and houses of captains such as the one of Hatzi Mauri, next to the church of Saint Marina. At Dikefalos position (west), there are windmills. Agia Marina is 1 km west of Fry.

Armathia Beach

One of the beaches that undoubtedly stands out is the one near island of Armathia. The view is captivating as it is an incredible combination of tropical and Cycladic landscape. The beach is accessible only by boat. In fact, there are many other beaches accessible only by sea, but there are no frequent connections to them.

Helatros

Helatros is the most famous beach of the island. It is located in the southern side of Kassos and it has a natural harbor which, in ancient times, was used from the Minoan sailors. The beach is always protected from the winds, while in the open waters the beautiful waves create a small paradise for windsurfers.
